keeps a chart of letters 3 m behind the patientl asks him to see the letters on the image ofchart formed in a plane mirror kept at distance2 m in front of him. At what distance is the chartAns. 7 m.seen by the patient ?

Let the position of patient be A
Then distance of chart from A is 3m in backside of it.
And the plane mirror is situated at a distance of 2m from A in front of it,
This means that the distance between chart and plane mirror is 3+2m=5m
If we look from A then the total distance is equal to distance to plane mirror + distance b
