List which observations were qualitative and which were quantitative. Quantitative data is something that can be measured such as; the candle is 3 inches tall and has a diameter of 2 inches. Qualitative data is sensory observations such as; odor, cold, hot, taste, texture, and appearance.

For example:

Quantitative:

Quantitative properties can be measured in numerical values.

For example:

Melting point, boiling point, conductivity, viscosity, density, hardness and solubility.

In short we can say that qualitative is a measure of quality while the quantitative is a measure of quantity.
